Copper can be found throughout the Dirt Biome, and getting a full set of Copper Armor is enough to give yourself a chance against fighting Glurch. However, you can also progress to Tin and Iron before you even take on your first boss if you want to.

It’s also a good idea to take the time and fully clear out areas, so the light can actually reach all the dim corners and not get cut off by random chunks of wall.

You’ll have goals in mind, sure — maybe you want to find a certain ore to craft a certain helmet with a certain perk before facing a boss — but it can be just as easy to pick a direction, any direction, and start tunneling.

Glurch can jump quite far; when Glurch lands, it can destroy any wall tiles nearby. You'll want to make sure that you don't accidentally lead Glurch toward your base. Make sure you have plenty of room Core Keeper Gameplay to move around!

Upgrade your arsenal and equipment with advanced tools like the mighty Obliteration Ray, and automated machinery to streamline mining, smelting, storage, and more. Level up your skills and unlock powerful weapons to conquer the depths.

Wood Pickaxe helps mine the soft dirt biome walls more quickly. All walls can be slowly broken by punching continuously (except obsidian).

I’m not convinced Core Keeper can match the quality and scope of its best-in-class inspirations, but it’s already worth a look in Early Access, and if the rest of the pieces fall into place leading up to the full launch, it’ll be fondly remembered. [Early Access Review]

Once you feel that you have solid equipment, you're going to want to start hunting for Glurch. Glurch is the first boss; it is a giant slime that is constantly jumping in place. You'll have to explore the area around the Core and listen for a slamming sound.
